A custom website design and development of a Oaxacan Fashion Blog

The Brief

In August 2021, I partnered up with Teresa Sanchez to revamp her old portfolio website into a modern fashion blog that centers her Oaxacan roots in fashion and culture.

One of the challenges of her old website was the absence of the blog. Teresa explained that she wanted to step away from her old cookie cutter site and transition into a customized design. Her last website had a confusing structure with no clear call-to-actions to take.

The Approach

We decided to move forward with a custom designed that represented her community. Some of the features included on the website are a) a robust Content-Management System (CMS) that will allow users to find her website organically; b) an email-lead capture; c) categories for blog posts to organize content.

“JVF Web Design helped me create my IDEAL website! Prior to this I used a template-based website builder making it difficult to have control over the creative aspect, but JVF Web Design brought my design to life. On top of that, they made my transition to an open source software easy to understand! I am thrilled with my experience with JVF Web Design and I am in love with my new website.”
